What it does

What your agent can do with Bluesky

Every Bluesky call here costs 1 credit. The whole catalog is three endpoints, a profile, an account’s posts and keyword search, and the 100 credits you get free at signup will fetch a hundred posts or a hundred profiles before you’ve paid anything.

Give get_profile a handle and you get the public record back: follower count, bio and totals. get_channel_posts lists what that account has posted lately, metrics included, one credit per post and up to 50 in a page. search runs a keyword query across public posts at one credit per result. That’s the full tool list apart from list_endpoints, which is free, and call_endpoint, which on Bluesky reaches the same three paths and exists so an agent can call by path if it prefers.

Bluesky publishes its own open protocol, and if you need to write, follow, or drink from the firehose that’s the right place to go. This server is for the simpler case: an agent inside Claude or Cursor that wants to know what an account said this week, or who’s talking about a topic, without you standing up a client, keeping a session alive or watching a rate limit. One key, one credit, JSON back. It also makes Bluesky cheap to include in a cross-network watch alongside X and Threads, where the same three questions cost more.

Four jobs it finishes on its own

01

Daily digest of a few accounts

get_channel_posts for each handle, keep what's new, summarise. Ten accounts at twenty posts each is 200 credits a day at most, and far less once you only fetch what's changed.

02

Topic monitoring on an open network

search for a product, a person or a phrase. One credit per result means an agent can afford to check several queries an hour and only tell you when something moves.

03

Verify a handle

People migrate to Bluesky under new names. get_profile confirms the handle exists and shows the bio and follower count, so your agent can tell the real account from a parody.

04

Add Bluesky to a cross-platform report

Same three questions you'd ask of X or Threads, same JSON shape, at the lowest price on the service. Easy to include without blowing the budget.

What this does not do

Written by a person, not generated. If something here is wrong, tell us.

Public Bluesky only; blocked or deleted accounts resolve to not found, which is free. Three endpoints means no post stats tool, no comments or reply threads, no transcripts, no media download. Posts and search results are capped at 50 per call, billed one credit per item returned, and an empty result still costs the 1-credit minimum. These are point-in-time reads, not a stream: for real-time ingestion at volume, connect to the protocol directly. The server doesn’t post, like, follow or send messages on your behalf.

Tools

5 tools, same names as the every-platform hub

Three do one Bluesky thing each. The last two reach all 3 endpoints by path, so nothing in the catalog is out of an agent's reach.

Questions

Before you connect

Do I need a Bluesky account? #

No. The server reads public data and authenticates against your ScraperSocial key, not against Bluesky.

Why would I use this instead of the AT Protocol directly? #

Convenience. The protocol is open and free, and the better choice for writes or the firehose. This gives an agent the three common reads as tool calls with no client to run.

Is this an official Bluesky product? #

No. ScraperSocial has no connection to Bluesky Social PBC; it's independent and reads only what the network makes public.

What does a profile lookup cost? #

One credit. Posts and search results are also one credit each, so a 50-post page is 50 credits.

Can it read a blocked or private account? #

Only what's public. An account a logged-out viewer can't see gives not found, costing nothing.
