These terms are a plain-language agreement between you and ScraperSocial ("we", "us") covering the ScraperSocial website and API. By creating an account or calling the API you agree to them. If you're using ScraperSocial on behalf of a company, you're agreeing for that company.
ScraperSocial provides programmatic access to publicly available social media data (transcripts, statistics, comments, profiles and search) across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter and LinkedIn, via a credit-metered REST API and an MCP server. We access only data that is publicly reachable without logging in; private accounts, private groups and logged-in-only content are out of scope by design.
You need an account and an API key to call the API. Keep your keys secret; calls made with your key are your calls. You're responsible for activity under your account, and you must give us accurate contact information so we can reach you about it. One person or company may not create multiple accounts to accumulate free trial credits.
API usage is billed in credits. Each endpoint's credit cost is shown on its documentation page and charged per unit returned. Calls that fail with an error are not charged. Cached responses cost the same as fresh ones. Subscription credits are granted each billing period and unused credits expire at the end of that period; terms for one-off credit top-ups are shown at the time of purchase. Prices are listed on the pricing page and may change with notice — never retroactively for a period you've already paid for.
You can cancel any time from the dashboard; cancellation stops future renewals and your remaining credits stay usable until the end of the paid period. Because credits are consumed on use and metered per call, payments are generally non-refundable once the period has started, except where the service materially failed to work or where law requires otherwise — email us and we'll be reasonable.
You agree not to use the API to:
You are responsible for how you use the data you retrieve, including compliance with the target platforms' terms as they apply to you and with intellectual-property and privacy rights in downloaded media.
Responses are generated from publicly available sources at request time or from our cache; cache behavior is documented and visible in response headers. We don't guarantee that any particular piece of content is available, current or accurate; platforms change constantly. AI-generated outputs (summaries, transcripts produced by speech-to-text) are best-effort machine output and may contain errors. We honor removal requests for cached content — see contact.
We aim for high availability but the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. Upstream platforms change without notice, and individual capabilities can degrade or be withdrawn when a platform removes what they depend on. Where a capability is known to be limited we say so on its documentation page. We may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and neither party is liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, create risk for the service or other users, or go unpaid; where practical we'll warn you first. Sections that by their nature should survive (billing owed, liability limits, disputes) survive termination.

When we change these terms materially we'll update the date above and notify active customers by email before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
