Each tool is a thin browser page over the same API developers pay for. The TikTok transcript generator calls GET /v1/tiktok/transcript, the exact endpoint you'd wire into your own app. There's no separate "free tool backend" with different quality: if the tool returns a good transcript, the API will too, because they're the same request.
Free use has limits: your first result is free in the browser, no signup. Heavier use needs a free API key, which comes with 100 trial credits. That's the honest trade: the tools are marketing for the API, and they only stay free because the limits keep them cheap for us to run.
Why so few tools? We publish a tool only when the endpoint behind it has proven reliable in production, and the API is young. The "in the works" cards above are real plans, not vaporware. If one of them would save you real time, tell us and we'll bump it up the queue.
