What it does
Apple publishes a surprising amount about every app on its storefront: the listing copy, the rating and its distribution, the written reviews, the position in a category chart, and the countries where the app is sold. None of it needs an account to see. ScraperSocial’s App Store spoke makes that public surface readable by an agent, one credit at a time.
This is an app store, not a social platform, and ScraperSocial handles it as public web data alongside the social networks it was built for. Same client connection, same JSON envelope, same credits.
One tool is wrapped as a capability: get_reviews, which takes an app id and pages through user reviews. The rest you reach by path through call_endpoint. /v1/app_store/app-info returns the listing for an app id. /v1/app_store/app-search runs a keyword query. /v1/app_store/app-list returns a ranked chart for a category. /v1/app_store/categories and /v1/app_store/locations are reference lists: the category ids and the storefronts the server can read. Ask list_endpoints and it prints all of them with their inputs, for nothing.
The address is https://mcp.scrapersocial.com/app_store. Connect it, then ask about an app by name or id.
Four jobs it finishes on its own
Ask the agent to run `/v1/app_store/app-search` for each keyword you care about and record where your app lands. At 1 credit per result it's cheap enough to run daily. Track the shifts and you'll know when a competitor's update moved them.
After a build ships, have `get_reviews` fetch the newest reviews every few hours and flag anything mentioning a crash or a missing feature. Reviews come back with rating and text, so the agent can tell a one-star regression from general grumbling.
`/v1/app_store/app-list` returns the ranked apps for a category. Pull it on a schedule and you have a chart record for your niche, without screenshots.
Give the agent a few app ids and let `/v1/app_store/app-info` return each listing. It can compare subtitles, descriptions and release notes, then suggest where your own copy is thin.
Limits · read before you connect
Written by a person, not generated. If something here is wrong, tell us.
The server reads the public storefront only. Nothing from App Store Connect is reachable: no sales, installs, crash logs or ratings broken down by build. Search suggestions and a per-storefront language list aren’t offered. The six endpoints each cost 1 credit per item, and an empty result is still charged 1. Lists (search, charts, reviews, categories) are capped at 50 items a call, with a cursor for more. Reviews and charts differ by storefront, so say which country you mean. Cached responses are normal; add fresh: true to force a new read at no extra cost.

Questions
One credit per item on every live endpoint. A listing lookup is 1 credit, 30 reviews are 30, a chart of 50 apps is 50. New accounts get 100 credits to start, and a thousand more cost $5.
The numeric App Store id from the app's URL, the digits after `id`. `/v1/app_store/app-search` returns ids, so the agent can find one from a name first.
No. ScraperSocial is independent; it reads Apple's public storefront pages and isn't endorsed by or connected to Apple in any way.
No. The storefront doesn't publish them, and the server doesn't estimate them. You get ratings, review text, chart positions and listing metadata.
It's a separate spoke at https://mcp.scrapersocial.com/google_play with its own app ids (package names). The hub server at mcp.scrapersocial.com covers both if you'd rather connect once.
Go further
App research on the App Store comes down to reading what Apple already shows, and reading it often. This spoke makes that a one-line prompt instead of a scraping project. Connect https://mcp.scrapersocial.com/app_store, spend the free credits checking your own app, and go from there.
