What it does

What your agent can do with Snapchat

One tool, one endpoint, 2 credits. Pass get_profile a Snapchat handle and it returns the public profile Snapchat shows for that creator. That is the whole server, and it’s worth being clear about why it exists.

Snapchat shows the outside world almost nothing. Snaps and stories are ephemeral and private by design, there’s no public feed to scroll, and engagement numbers aren’t published. What is public is the creator profile page, and for anyone building a cross-platform view of a creator, confirming that the handle exists, belongs to the right person, and carries the follower figure the platform displays is often the only programmatic check available.

So this is a verification tool rather than a research one. An agent putting together an influencer brief can call get_profile here alongside the profile tools on the TikTok and Instagram spokes and fill in the Snapchat row with real data instead of a question mark. list_endpoints is free and will confirm there’s a single path, /v1/snapchat/profile. call_endpoint reaches that same path by name.

Signup gives you 100 credits without a card, which is fifty profile lookups. Past that, 1,000 credits cost $5 a month. If you need stories, Spotlight metrics or ad data, those live behind Snap’s own account-scoped APIs and aren’t something this server can read.

Three jobs it finishes on its own

01

Confirm a creator's Snapchat handle

A talent sheet lists a handle; the agent checks it exists and matches the name. Two credits to avoid pitching a parody account.

02

Complete a cross-platform creator profile

TikTok, Instagram and Kwai lookups on their own spokes, Snapchat here. One conversation produces a brief with every row filled from the platforms themselves.

03

Keep a watch on public follower counts

Call get_profile for a list of handles on a schedule and record the follower figure. Over months that's a growth curve Snapchat doesn't otherwise hand you.

What this does not do

Written by a person, not generated. If something here is wrong, tell us.

A single public read. No stories, snaps, Spotlight videos, friend lists, engagement metrics or search, because Snapchat doesn’t publish them and this server doesn’t guess. Handles that don’t resolve to a public creator profile lead to not found, and the balance stays where it was. Every successful call is 2 credits, and there’s no list call, so pagination doesn’t arise. Fields depend on what Snapchat shows for that profile. Read-only: nothing is sent, added or followed.

Prompts

Things to ask once it is connected

Copy one, swap the placeholder, paste it into your client.

Does the Snapchat handle <handle> exist, and who is it?

Pull the public Snapchat profile for <handle> and give me the follower count.

Check these Snapchat handles and tell me which ones resolve: <handle-1>, <handle-2>, <handle-3>.

Add <handle>'s Snapchat profile to the creator brief we're building.

Questions

Before you connect

Do I need a Snapchat login? #

No. Your ScraperSocial key is the only credential. The server reads the public creator page.

Can it fetch someone's stories or snaps? #

No. Stories and snaps aren't public data, and nothing on this spoke returns them.

Is this Snap's official API? #

No. ScraperSocial is independent and isn't connected to Snap Inc. in any way. Snap's own Marketing and Public Profile APIs are for accounts you own or manage.

Why is there only one tool? #

Because there's only one public thing to read. The catalog for Snapchat has one endpoint, and the server doesn't pretend otherwise.

What does it cost? #

Two credits per lookup. Not-found lookups aren't metered.
