What it does
A post is going around, it has a two-minute video attached, and someone on your team asks what he actually says in it. Paste the link into Claude with this server connected and get_transcript returns the spoken words for 7 credits. Ask for the gist instead and get_summary answers for 9. Want the engagement? get_post_stats is 1 credit.
Those are the three per-post tools. The other three work from a handle or a query. get_profile returns an account’s public record, follower count and bio for 5 credits. get_channel_posts pulls an account’s latest tweets, each with its metrics, at 1 credit apiece. search runs a keyword search across public posts at 2 per result. The seventh live endpoint, the tweets in a curated list, is reachable through call_endpoint at 1 per tweet, and list_endpoints will show it to you for nothing.
Pricing on X’s own API pushed a lot of ordinary read-only use off the platform. At 1 credit for stats or a tweet, with 1,000 credits for $5, the arithmetic for monitoring an account or a keyword looks different. There’s no streaming, though: each call is a point-in-time query, and your agent decides when to make it. For an hourly check on a few handles that’s a handful of credits a day.
Four jobs it finishes on its own
On a schedule, the agent runs get_channel_posts per handle, keeps what's new, and writes a digest. At 1 credit per tweet the daily cost for twenty accounts is small enough not to think about.
Video posts travel faster than the words in them. get_transcript gives your agent the actual speech so it can quote, verify or summarise rather than guess from the caption.
search returns public posts for a query at 2 credits each. Run it a few times a day, dedupe on tweet id, and you have mention tracking without a social-listening subscription.
Give the agent a list of tweet URLs and it calls get_post_stats on each for 1 credit. Views, likes, reposts and replies where X publishes them, ready to drop into a sheet.
Limits · read before you connect
Written by a person, not generated. If something here is wrong, tell us.
Public posts and public accounts only. Protected accounts, deleted tweets and anything requiring a session show up as not found, which costs you nothing. Reply threads can’t be walked: the catalog lists a replies endpoint, but it’s unavailable, so there’s no comments tool here. Transcripts need a post with a video in it; a post without speech returns an empty transcript. Timelines, search and list tweets page at 50 items and bill per item, with a 1-credit minimum per successful call. Nothing here posts, replies, likes or sends DMs.
Tools
Six do one X/Twitter thing each. The last two reach all 7 endpoints by path, so nothing in the catalog is out of an agent's reach.
Get a video transcript
get_transcriptSpoken-word transcript of a public video, with timestamped segments where the source publishes them.
7 credits / videoSummarise a video
get_summaryShort LLM summary of what a public video actually says, built on its transcript.
9 credits / videoGet post engagement stats
get_post_statsEngagement stats for one public post or video: views, likes, comments, shares and reposts where the platform publishes them.
1 credit / tweetGet an account profile
get_profileProfile, page or channel record for a public account: follower and subscriber counts, bio, and totals.
5 credits / lookupList an account's posts
get_channel_postsRecent public posts or videos from one account, with per-item metrics.
1 credit / tweetSearch a platform
searchKeyword search over one platform's public content.
2 credits / resultList every X/Twitter endpoint
list_endpointsBrowse every X/Twitter endpoint, its input and its credit cost. Free, and calls nothing upstream.
freeCall any X/Twitter endpoint by path
call_endpointRun any X/Twitter endpoint by its path, so nothing X/Twitter offers is out of reach of an agent.
endpoint's own costPricing
Then $5 a month for 1,000 credits, or $4 per 1,000 as a top-up. No card to start. Calls cost between 1 and 9 credits on X/Twitter.

Questions
No. The server authenticates with your ScraperSocial key and reads what X shows a logged-out visitor. No X credentials are involved.
The 7 was get_transcript, which processes the video. Stats and tweets are 1 each, search is 2, a profile is 5, a summary is 9.
It's not. ScraperSocial is independent of X Corp and isn't a partner or reseller. X's own API is the sanctioned route and the only one that lets you post.
No. A protected account gives you not found, with nothing deducted.
Not at the moment. The replies endpoint is listed but turned off, which is why the X spoke has no comments tool.
Both resolve to the same post. Hand the agent whichever URL you have.
Go further
For reading X rather than writing to it, the numbers here are hard to argue with: a credit per tweet, 100 of them free when you sign up, and 1,000 for $5 after that. Hook it up to Claude or Cursor and ask about the next post that crosses your feed.
