What it does

What your agent can do with TikTok

Say you run content for a brand and a competitor’s video just did a number. You want to know what was said in it, how it performed, and what the comments are arguing about. That’s three tool calls through this server. get_transcript turns the video URL into spoken text for 8 credits. get_post_stats returns plays, likes, comments and shares for 3. get_comments pages through the replies at 2 credits each, newest first.

The server sits at mcp.scrapersocial.com/tiktok and exposes ten tools over sixteen TikTok endpoints. Beyond the trio above there’s get_summary (10 credits, a short written summary built from the transcript), get_profile for a creator’s follower count and bio (3), get_channel_posts for their latest videos and each one’s numbers (3 per video), and two kinds of search: search for keywords (4 per result) and search_hashtag for everything posted under a tag (3 per result). Anything else in the catalog, such as a creator’s follower list, the videos using a particular sound, or user search, is reachable through call_endpoint once you’ve looked it up with list_endpoints, which costs nothing.

Input is a URL or a handle. Output is JSON your agent reads directly. A new account starts with 100 credits and no card on file; the monthly plan is $5 for 1,000.

Four jobs it finishes on its own

01

Transcribe a video before you respond to it

Your agent pulls the transcript of a competitor's or a creator's video, then the summary if you want the short version. From there it can draft a reply, check a claim, or feed the text into whatever you're building. Eight credits for the words, ten for the gist.

02

Vet a creator in one pass

One call to get_profile covers follower count and bio; one to get_channel_posts covers the last few dozen videos with their plays and likes. An agent can compute average views, spot the outliers, and tell you whether the audience is real before you spend money on a collaboration.

03

Mine comments for the questions people ask

Comments on a popular video are a free survey. Page through them at 2 credits each, have the model cluster them, and you've got a list of objections and questions worth answering in your own content.

04

Watch a hashtag or a keyword

search and search_hashtag return results ranked by the platform, with the creator and metrics for each. Run them on a schedule and you have a trend monitor that costs a few credits a day.

What this does not do

Written by a person, not generated. If something here is wrong, tell us.

Everything here is public TikTok data. There’s no login step, so private accounts, drafts, direct messages and the analytics only a creator sees are out of reach. The TikTok catalog currently has no download tool and no trending feed, and replies nested under a comment can’t be fetched, only the top-level comments. List tools hand back at most 50 items per call and bill per item returned, with a 1-credit floor even when the result is empty. A video with no speech returns an empty transcript rather than an error. Charges land only on successful calls; a not-found response costs nothing.

Tools

10 tools, same names as the every-platform hub

8 do one TikTok thing each. The last two reach all 16 endpoints by path, so nothing in the catalog is out of an agent's reach.

Questions

Before you connect

Do I need a TikTok login? #

No. The server reads what TikTok shows a logged-out visitor and authenticates you against your ScraperSocial key, not a TikTok account.

Why did a call cost 8 credits? #

That's the price of get_transcript. Stats cost 3, comments 2 each, and get_summary is 10 because it runs the transcript through a language model on top of fetching it.

Is this the official TikTok API? #

It isn't. ScraperSocial is an independent service with no affiliation to TikTok or ByteDance. If you need to post, run ads or read your own account's analytics, use TikTok's developer platform.

Can it read private accounts? #

No. A private profile or a deleted video comes back as not found, and that call isn't billed.

Can I download the video file? #

Not from this server. TikTok's download endpoint is switched off for now, and no download tool is exposed here.

How does pagination work? #

Pass limit (up to 50) and the cursor from the previous response. Each page is a separate call billed by the items it returns.
