What it does

What your agent can do with Google Play

You shipped a release on Friday. By Monday there are forty new Play Store reviews and a support inbox that mentions ‘login’ a lot. Instead of reading them one by one, you ask your agent to fetch the reviews since Friday, group them, and tell you whether the login complaints are new. That’s the Google Play spoke doing its job.

Google Play isn’t a social network. ScraperSocial handles it the way it handles any public web surface: what the store shows a logged-out visitor is what the agent receives, as JSON, over MCP. No Play Console access is involved and none is possible.

The spoke has three tools. get_reviews takes a package name and returns user reviews with ratings, paged. list_endpoints prints the full set of Play endpoints with inputs and costs, and is free to call. call_endpoint runs any of them by path. Beyond reviews, the live paths are /v1/google_play/app-info for a listing, /v1/google_play/app-search for a keyword query, and /v1/google_play/categories for the store’s category list.

Everything here costs 1 credit per item, which makes it the cheapest store data on the server. Connect https://mcp.scrapersocial.com/google_play and start with a package name.

Four jobs it finishes on its own

01

Release regression triage

Have the agent pull `get_reviews` for your package every morning and diff the themes against the previous day. A new cluster of one-star reviews about one feature is worth knowing about before your dashboard shows it.

02

Android keyword research

Run `/v1/google_play/app-search` for the queries your users type and see which apps rank. Because results are 1 credit each, you can check fifty keywords for the price of a coffee.

03

Competitor listing diffs

Fetch `/v1/google_play/app-info` for a rival's package name weekly and store the description. When their copy or rating changes, the agent tells you, and you decide whether it matters.

04

Cross-store comparisons

Pair this spoke with the App Store one and have the agent put the same app's iOS and Android ratings, review volume and recent complaints side by side. Package names and Apple ids differ, so give it both.

What this does not do

Written by a person, not generated. If something here is wrong, tell us.

Public Play Store pages only. Installs, revenue, crash rates and anything else behind the Play Console are not reachable, and the server never signs in. There are no top-chart, storefront or language lists on this spoke; the four live endpoints are listing, reviews, search and categories, each 1 credit per item with a minimum of 1 per call. Reviews and search results arrive in pages of up to 50, with a cursor for the next one. Listing data can come from cache; pass fresh: true when you need today’s rating rather than a recent one.

Questions

Before you connect

What is the handle for a Play Store app? #

The package name, like `com.example.app`, which is the `id` parameter in any Play Store URL. Search returns package names, so the agent can resolve an app by title.

What does it cost to read 200 reviews? #

200 credits, in four calls of fifty. That's double the 100 free credits a new account gets, so budget for it: 1,000 credits are $5.

Is this run by Google? #

No. ScraperSocial is independent and has no tie to Google or the Play Store. It reads publicly visible store pages and hands them back as data.

Can I pull the top charts? #

Not on this spoke. There's no chart endpoint for Google Play at the moment; `list_endpoints` reflects the live set if that changes.

Does it cover every country? #

There's no storefront list for Play. Ask `list_endpoints` to see exactly which parameters each live endpoint accepts.
